Judge Sam Barr
Born in Carroll County, after military duty with the U.S. Air Force in 1957 and 1958, Judge Barr began work in construction and oil field rough-necking as well as being a lumber jack before becoming a car salesman in 1978. He became co-owner of Davis-Barr Chevrolet dealership until 2006. Venting his interest in politics, he successfully won his present position as County Judge for the term of 2009-2010.
He is a member of First Baptist Church, served on the Airport Commission, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Community First Bank.
